I run these races.
I don't just coach them.

I started running seriously in 2022. No running background. Just a decision to begin. Since then I've completed the KPMG Marathon twice, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, and several half marathons — all while coaching, training for triathlons, and working full-time.

I know what it's like to train on limited time. To get to the start line of a big Dutch road race and not know what to expect. To make the mistake of going out too fast in the first 10km and paying for it at kilometre 32.

That knowledge is what I bring to your training. Not textbook theory — lived experience on the same roads you're about to run.

I'm ESCI certified through IRONMAN University, coaching athletes across the Netherlands online — entirely in English.

Most runners don't fail because they lacked fitness.
They fail because they lacked a plan.

Generic training apps give you the same 16 weeks as everyone else. They don't know your work schedule, your sleep, your injury history, or that you get three weeks off in September.

A personal coach does. And adjusts accordingly. Every week.

The races worth building for.

These are the anchor events in the Dutch running calendar. Your goal race drives your plan. Every session, every week, every phase — built backward from your start line.

KPMG Marathon Amstelveen

Netherlands · March

I've run it twice and know exactly what the course demands — including where most runners blow up and why. A perfect A-race for first-timers and those chasing a PB.

NN Marathon Rotterdam

Netherlands · April

The NN Marathon Rotterdam is, partly due to the flat course, one of the fastest marathons in the world. The hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic spectators along the course create a true public celebration

TCS Amsterdam Marathon

Netherlands · October

An internationally attended race through the heart of Amsterdam. Flat, fast, and brilliant. I finished it in 2025. The autumn timing makes it a natural target for a summer training build.

30 minutes. No commitment. Just an honest conversation about your goal.

The four reasons training breaks down.

These are not talent problems. They are structure problems. Every one of them is fixable.

01

Going out too hard

The most common mistake in every race, at every distance. The plan needs to teach you your real pace — not your optimistic pace. A 30-second mistake in kilometre 3 costs you 10 minutes at kilometre 35.

02

No easy days

Most self-coached runners make every run "medium." Not easy enough to recover. Not hard enough to adapt. The result: always tired, never improving. Polarised training fixes this.

03

Ignoring the build

You can't cram for a marathon. A good 16-week plan focuses on aerobic base first, then race-specific intensity from week 10 onwards. Skip the base and the race will find you out.

04

Life disrupts the plan

A work trip, a sick child, a bad week. Self-coached runners either push through (injury) or abandon the plan (guilt spiral). A coach adjusts in real time. The goal stays — the route adapts.

Online. Personal. Built around your schedule.
